Polyphthalamide (PPA) resin is a semi-aromatic polyamide made from terephthalic acid or m-phthalic acid. There are both semi-crystalline and non-crystalline, and the vitrification temperature is about 255°F. Amorphous PPA is mainly used in the situation where barrier properties are required; The semi-crystalline PPA resin is mainly used for injection molding but is also used in other melt processing processes.
