Characteristic

(1) POM can not be dried before processing. It is better to preheat POM during processing (about 80 ℃), which is good for the stability of product size

(2) The processing temperature of POM is very narrow (0-215 ℃), and POM will decompose when it stays in the barrel for a long time or the temperature exceeds 220 ℃. Formaldehyde gas with strong irritation will be produced

(3) The holding pressure of POM should be higher (similar to the injection pressure) to reduce the pressure drop;

(4) The specific heat of POM is large and the mold temperature is high (80-100 ℃). When the product is demoulded, it is very hot to prevent scalding fingers

(5) POM should be processed under the conditions of “medium pressure, medium speed, low material temperature and high mold temperature”, and the mold temperature should be controlled when forming precision products
