Unmodified polyphenylene oxide (PPO) is a semicrystalline thermoplastic mix with high-impact polystyrene in properties to improve melt processability. Although PPO (polyphenylene oxide) has many attractive properties it is susceptible to thermal oxidation due to its high glass transition temperature, which can cause problems during melt processing.
