Peek is a kind of aromatic crystalline thermoplastic polymer material, its melting point is 343 ℃, and it has the characteristics comparable to polyimide (PI), so it is called super heat resistant thermoplastic resin. Its main properties are as follows:
High temperature properties: the glass transition temperature and melting point of PEEK polymers and compounds are usually 143 ° C and 340 ° C, respectively. The test results show that although the thermal denaturation temperature of unreinforced pure resin is only 160 ℃ (HDT / b), the thermal deformation temperature can reach 315 ℃ after reinforced with glass fiber and carbon fiber, and the continuous service temperature can reach 260 ℃.

Self lubricity: PEEK resin has outstanding sliding properties in all plastics and is suitable for use in strictly demanding low friction coefficient and wear resistance applications. In particular, the sliding grade of carbon fiber, graphite and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) with 10% of each proportion or 30% CF reinforced grade are of excellent sliding characteristics.
Electrical properties and radiation resistance: PEEK resin Polymer has excellent electrical properties, which can be stable in a wide range of temperature and frequency, and its dielectric loss is very small even at high frequency, such as 0.0033 at 1010 Hz. At room temperature, the volume resistance is 1016 Ω· cm and the breakdown voltage is 17kv / mm. The ability of resistance to gamma irradiation is very strong, which is better than polystyrene which has the best radiation resistance among general resins. It can be used as high-performance wire with good insulation when the radiation dose reaches 1100mrad.
