聚对苯二甲酸丁二醇酯（PBT）是一种乳白色半透明至不透明的结晶热塑性聚酯。它具有很高的耐热性、韧性、抗疲劳性、自润滑性、低摩擦系数、耐候性、低吸水率，仅为0.1%，在潮湿环境中仍保持各种物理性能（包括电气性能），电气绝缘性好，但体积电阻、介电损耗大。耐热水、碱、酸、油，但易受卤代烃影响，耐水解性差，低温下可快速结晶，成型性好。缺点是缺口冲击强度低，成型收缩。因此，大部分玻璃纤维增强或无机填料改性后，其拉伸强度、弯曲强度可提高一倍以上，热变形温度也显著提高。它能在140℃下长时间工作，玻璃纤维增强制品的纵向和横向收缩不一致，容易产生翘曲

Polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) is a milky white translucent to opaque, crystalline thermoplastic polyester. It has high heat resistance, toughness, fatigue resistance, self-lubrication, low coefficient of friction, weather resistance, low water absorption rate, only 0.1%, still maintain various physical properties (including electrical properties) in a humid environment, electrical insulation, but volume resistance, dielectric loss is large. Resistant to hot water, alkalis, acids, oils, but vulnerable to halogenated hydrocarbons, poor hydrolysis resistance, low temperature can be rapidly crystallized, good molding. The disadvantage is the low notch impact strength , molding shrinkage . Therefore, most of the glass fiber reinforced or inorganic filling modified, its tensile strength, bending strength can be increased by more than double, heat deflection temperature also increased significantly. It can work for a long time at 140℃, and the longitudinal and transverse shrinkage of glass fiber reinforced products are not consistent, which makes the products warp easily.
