PC/PBTcompound is a construction material that combines the advantages of amorphous polycarbonate (PC) and crystalline polybutylene terephthalate (PBT); PC provides impact strength and dimensional stability, while PBT adds chemical resistance and stiffness to the compound.

PC/PBTcompound, with exceptionally high impact strength, reduces warpage tendency and improves UV stability. Higher surface hardness, higher rigidity and toughness, and also higher resistance to high temperature shaping, as well as higher resistance to stress cracking. It shows very good performance in terms of UV resistance. Therefore it is particularly suitable for demanding parts in outdoor applications.
