POM and its copolymers are an excellent choice for applications requiring low friction, high impact strength, high rigidity and tight tolerances. Acetal resin is a strong and rigid thermoplastic characterized by good fatigue resistance, low moisture resistance, high resistance to solvents and chemicals and good electrical properties. Because of these properties, acetal resin competes with nylon for many of the same applications.

POM is characterized by its high strength, hardness and rigidity above 40 degrees Celsius. It is a low-friction material, which means that it does not heat up when used in applications with high friction.
