PC particle for aviation and aerospace
PC is an almost colorless glassy amorphous polymer with good optical properties.
PC high molecular weight resin has high toughness, the Izod notch impact strength is 600~900J/m, and the heat distortion temperature of unfilled PC is about 130°C. PC reinforced by glass fiber can increase this value by 10°C. The flexural modulus of PC can reach more than 2400MPa, and the resin can be processed into large rigid products.
With the rapid development of aviation and aerospace technology, the requirements for various components in aircraft and spacecraft continue to increase, making the application of PCs in this field increasing.
According to statistics, there are 2500 polycarbonate components used on a Boeing aircraft alone, and a single plane consumes about 2 tons of polycarbonate.
